Many companies are required to report information to FinCEN about the individuals who ultimately own or control them. FinCEN began accepting reports on January 1, 2024.

Things to consider:
1. If you have multiple companies to register for which you are the beneficial owner, you may want to get a FINCEN ID.
2. FINCEN provides a transcript and confirmation when the beneficial ownership report has been submitted.
